The Green Cheek, or Pyrrhura molinae molinae, is a pretty 26 cm parrot native to Bolivia.
It weighs 70g. Its plumage is green, with red feathers on the top of the tail. The feathers are blue, and the feathers of the throat, the top and the back of the head, and the tail are brown.
The skin around the eye forms a large white drop, highlighting her intense brown gaze.
Immature birds have duller plumage than adults, darker irises, and less brownness on their abdomen. They are of breeding age from two years old. The female lays between 4 and 6 eggs, which she will hatch in 22 to 25 days.
