Seeds, flowers and fruits are rich food and a source of activity for the parrot which must shell its seeds. This manna of nature can be consumed without moderation

Grasses
Bluegrass (Pao annua), Kentucky bluegrass (Poa pratensis), woodland bluegrass (Poa chaixii), English raygras (Lolium perenne), small fenasse (Holcus lanatus).

Flowers and herbs
Chickweed (Stellaria acetosa), dandelion (Taraxum officinale), shepherd’s cape (Capsella bursa pastoris)

All kinds of millet and knotweed
Houndstooth millet (Panicum crus-galli), digitaria (Panicum sanguinale), broom millet (Setaria viridis), common millet (Panicum milaceum), knotweed (Polygonum aviculare)

Berries and wild fruits

Mountain ash, sea buckthorn and rosehip berries.

Remarks
Chickweed and herbs can be grown on the windowsill all year round and you can freeze many species of wild plants

Warning
Do not harvest wild plants that grow along roads and fields; they are poisoned by exhaust gases or by treatment. Rinse wild plants with lukewarm water and drain them.
