Physical description
It has green plumage on the body with the forehead ranging from white to cream in some birds; a blue cap on the top of the head; the rim of the eye and some primaries are red; some primaries can also be blue like the secondary feathers; the tail is yellowish green with the tip possibly red; the skin around the eye is gray; the iris ranges from pale yellow to orange; the legs are gray.
The young have no red on the wings and have some yellowish feathers on the forehead; the iris is black.

Reproduction
Easy to reproduce in an aviary; pairs must be isolated for reproduction; it usually starts in May but sometimes earlier if they are bred indoors. They are particularly noisy just before and during breeding;

Reproduction to be considered in large aviaries.

Incubation: 26 days; 3-4 eggs
Youth flight: 7 weeks after birth

Behaviour
It can be very noisy. It is a bird with a strong temperament. He’s not a very good speaker, but he can say a few words. Very active, demonstrative and fun. However, it has a reputation for biting quite easily.
